Setting Description
The story unfolds in The Kingdom of Dalia, a land marked by rich green valleys and towering castles. Each kingdom within Dalia follows its own customs, but all are subjected to King George’s kingdom, where the Bride Academy stands—a sprawling stone fortress that is as cold and rigid as the traditions it upholds.
Story
In Dalia, the powerful kingdom of King George reigns supreme. Every princess of marriageable age must attend the Bride Academy, where they are trained in the arts of etiquette, cooking, embroidery, and more. The purpose? To win the favor of one of King George’s four princes and secure peace for their home kingdoms.
Evelyn, a free-spirited princess, resents this tradition. She dreams of adventure, not marriage. "Why must I learn these trivial things?" she asks. But failure to complete the course means canceled engagements, and worse—disgrace for their entire kingdom.
Cara, from the Kingdom of Women, holds deep contempt for the academy. "Why must women be trained to serve men?" she questions. Yet, for the sake of her people, she joins the ranks of unwilling brides-to-be.
Saran, though remarkably skilled in culinary arts, attends out of obligation, her self-worth entangled with her family’s expectations. "I must please my future husband," she often repeats, despite her growing doubts.
The trio’s bond strengthens through shared hardships at the academy, from failed embroidery sessions to overwhelming cooking classes. Each struggle brings them closer to rebellion.
When Oberon, the youngest prince, visits the academy to inspect Evelyn's progress, she is terrified. But with the help of her friends, she improvises, showcasing talents that go beyond expectations. Yet her heart rebels against the notion of becoming someone she’s not, and this only fuels her defiance.
The tipping point comes when Saran’s engagement is abruptly canceled. Shattered by rejection, she vows to never bow to societal pressures again. Evelyn and Cara stand by her side, declaring they will no longer follow the academy's rules either. "We deserve the right to choose our own happiness!" they shout.
Word spreads throughout the kingdoms, and soon, other princesses rise up, refusing to attend the academy. Under pressure, King George dissolves the Bride Academy, ushering in a new era where princesses and women alike are free to choose their destinies.
